Pot roast

Pot roast is a yummy meal that starts with a big piece of meat, usually beef. To make it, you need a pot that is big enough to fit the meat in when it is raw - this will be a little tricky, as the meat is usually quite large and heavy!

Once the beef is in the pot, it gets covered in a mixture of delicious things like carrots, onions and sometimes even potatoes. These are all cut up into small pieces so they cook faster and get really yummy.

Then the pot is filled with liquid, like broth or water, to help cook the beef and veggies. Once everything is in the pot, it goes on the stove or in the oven for a really long time - like 3-8 hours! This is because the beef needs to cook slowly at a low temperature to get really tender and yummy.

After it has been cooking for a long time, everything is taken out of the pot and put on a big plate. The beef is cut up into pieces and the veggies are piled on top. The liquid from the pot can be poured over everything as a yummy sauce.

Now it's time to eat! The beef is super soft and easy to chew, and the veggies are really tasty because they soaked up all the yummy flavors from the beef and the liquid in the pot. Yum!
