Potting soil

Potting soil is the special kind of dirt that is used to help plants grow in pots. It's different from the dirt you see outside because it's made up of a lot of different things that plants need to grow big and strong.

Potting soil is usually made up of things like peat moss, vermiculite, perlite, and sometimes even sand. These things help to hold onto water so that the plants don't dry out too quickly. They also help to provide nutrients to the plants so they can grow healthy and strong.

When you buy potting soil, it usually comes in a bag or a container. You can pour it into a pot and then plant your plant inside. The potting soil will surround the roots of the plant, helping it to grow and get all the food and water it needs.

So, think of potting soil like a yummy and healthy snack for plants. It's specially made just for them to help them grow big and strong in pots.
