Pratitya-samutpada

Pratitya-samutpada is a way of looking at the world. It means "dependent origination," and it says that nothing in the world exists by itself--everything is connected or depends on something else. For example, a tree needs sun, water and soil to grow. Without these things, the tree cannot exist. Everything is connected in this way! Pratitya-samutpada is a way of understanding how the world works and how everything is connected!
