Prayopavesa

Alright kiddo, today we're going to learn about something called "prayopavesa." It's a big word that comes from a place far away called India.

So, you know how sometimes people get really sick or really old and they don't want to keep living in pain anymore? Well, sometimes in India, there are very spiritual people who believe that they can leave this world peacefully and without pain by choosing to do something called prayopavesa.

Prayopavesa is a special kind of fasting where the person stops eating and drinking water until they peacefully pass away. It's kind of like going into a long, deep sleep forever.

But it's not something people do just because they feel like it - they have to be very sure that they want to leave this world and that it's the right thing to do. There are rules and traditions around it that make sure the person is very serious about their decision.

It might sound scary or sad, but for the people who choose to do it, they believe they will be closer to their gods and will have a better afterlife. It's a very personal choice and something that is deeply rooted in their culture and beliefs.
