ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Privacy law

Privacy law is a set of rules that help protect people's private information and prevent it from being stolen or misused by other people or companies. People have a right to privacy, which means that they should be able to control how their personal information (like their name, address, and phone number) is used. Privacy laws provide limits on what companies and other people can do with people's private information. These laws make sure that companies are not allowed to share your private information with other people or companies without your agreement and consent.
