Probability amplitude is like a mathematical number that helps us figure out how likely something is going to happen. It's like if you rolled a dice, the probability of it landing on a three could be represented by a probability amplitude. Imagine you have a jar full of marbles. Some marbles are pink, some are blue and some are yellow. The probability amplitude of getting a pink marble out of the jar is the mathematical number that helps us figure out how likely it is you'll get a pink marble.
