ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Prostration

Prostration is when you bend your body down to the ground and touch your forehead on the floor. Just like when you put your hands together and bow, prostration is another way to show respect or worship.

In some religions and cultures, people use prostration as a way to show their devotion to God or to their spiritual teacher. They believe that bowing down low shows humility and respect for something that is greater than them.

Prostration can also be used as a physical exercise to help calm your mind and body, especially during meditation or yoga practice. Doing so helps to quiet your mind and find inner peace.

It is important to remember that prostration can mean different things in different cultures and religions, and it is always important to show respect and understanding for others' beliefs and practices.
