ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Provinces and territories of Canada

Okay, kiddo, so you know how Canada is a really big country, right? Well, it's so big that it's divided into different areas called "provinces" and "territories." Think of it like a big pizza, and each slice is a different province or territory.

We have 10 provinces and 3 territories. The provinces are called:

- British Columbia
- Alberta
- Saskatchewan
- Manitoba
- Ontario
- Quebec
- New Brunswick
- Prince Edward Island
- Nova Scotia
- Newfoundland and Labrador

And the territories are:

- Yukon
- Northwest Territories
- Nunavut

Now, each province and territory has its own government that makes decisions and rules for the people that live there. So, for example, the government of Ontario makes decisions for people who live in Ontario, and the government of Nunavut makes decisions for people who live in Nunavut.

But even though each province and territory has its own government, they all still work together to make Canada a great country to live in. They have to agree on some things, like how to protect our environment and how to keep us safe.

So there you have it, little one! Canada is made up of different "slices" called provinces and territories, each with its own government, but they all work together to make Canada a happy and healthy place to live.
