Pygmalion (mythology)

Once upon a time, in ancient Greece, there was a man named Pygmalion. Pygmalion was a very talented sculptor who loved to create beautiful works of art out of stone. However, Pygmalion was also very lonely and had trouble finding a woman he truly loved.

One day, Pygmalion decided to create a sculpture of the perfect woman. He worked tirelessly on the sculpture, shaping it with great care and skill. As he worked, Pygmalion began to develop strong feelings for his creation. He fell in love with the statue that he had created.

Incredibly, Pygmalion's love for the statue was so strong that the goddess Aphrodite, who was the goddess of love and beauty, decided to bring the statue to life. When Pygmalion returned to his studio, he was amazed to see that the sculpture had come to life and was now a beautiful woman.

Pygmalion was overjoyed and immediately asked the woman to marry him. They became husband and wife, living happily ever after.

So, the story of Pygmalion is about a talented sculptor who fell in love with his own creation and was granted a wish by the goddess of love to bring his creation to life.
