Qanat

A qanat is an underground system of tunnels used to bring water from natural underground sources like water springs or aquifers deep in the ground up to the surface. It's like a really long and deep underground water pipe that helps people get fresh water in dry places where there isn't enough rain to provide enough water. Qanats have been around for thousands of years, and were especially helpful in desert regions like the Middle East.
