ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Queer heterosexuality

Hey there kiddo! So, have you ever heard the word "queer" before? It's a word that some people use to describe themselves if they don't fit into traditional categories of gender or sexuality.

Now, when we talk about "heterosexuality," we're talking about people who are attracted to people of a different gender than themselves. For example, if you're a boy and you like girls, that's heterosexuality.

But here's where it gets a little more complicated. Sometimes, people who are queer might still be attracted to people of a different gender than themselves. So, for example, someone who is assigned female at birth but identifies as queer might still be attracted to boys. That's called "queer heterosexuality."

It can be a little confusing, but the most important thing to remember is that everyone's attractions and identities are different, and that's okay! It's all about being true to yourself and respecting others for who they are.
