Rényi entropy

Rényi entropy is like a way of measuring how similar or different something is. Imagine you have two piles of leaves in your yard. Rényi entropy can give us a way of measuring how different or similar the two piles are. The number we get from measuring Rényi entropy is called a "Rényi entropy". The bigger the number, the more different the two piles are. The smaller the number, the more similar the two piles are.
