Range rate is a measure of how quickly an object is moving. Range rate is calculated by taking the speed of the object and multiplying it by the amount of time it takes for the object to move a certain distance. For example, if you were measuring how quickly a car was going, you would measure the speed of the car and then multiply it by the amount of time it takes for the car to go from one point to another. This would give you the range rate, or how fast the car is moving.
