Doppler effect

The Doppler Effect is what happens when an object that is making sound moves closer to us. As it moves closer, the sound waves get pushed together, so that it makes higher pitched noises. Take a car for example: when it is far away, the sound of the engine is low and it gets higher as the car gets closer. This is the Doppler Effect!
