ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Rayleigh fading

Rayleigh fading is like if you're listening to a radio station in your car and you drive down the road. When you drive away from the radio station, the sound might fade or get quieter until it's too quiet to hear. It's like that but with a signal. When the signal is traveling through the air or another medium, it can get quieter or fade away because of changes in the air or medium it's traveling through.
