ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wireless

Wireless means using technology to send and receive information without the need for wires or cables.

Think of it like playing catch with someone. Usually, we throw a ball back and forth to each other, and we have to be close to each other to do so. But with wireless technology, we can play catch from far away without using a ball.

Instead, we use something called radio waves. Just like how we can hear music on the radio, we can send information through the air using radio waves, and these waves can travel long distances without the need for wires.

This is how our phones and computers can connect to the internet without needing to be plugged into a modem or router. They use wireless technology to connect to a network and communicate with other devices.

Wireless technology is very convenient because it allows us to use devices without needing to be in the same room or connected with cables. However, sometimes too many devices using wireless technology in the same area can cause interference and slow down the connection.
