Rangtong and shentong

Rangtong and Shentong are two different ideas in Buddhism. Rangtong means "emptiness," while Shentong means "other-emptiness." Rangtong means that nothing has an actual identity and everything is empty, while Shentong means that there is a higher form of something beyond emptiness. It's a way of looking at how we think about the world.
