ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Raster graphics

Raster graphics are a type of picture made up of tiny squares called pixels. For example, a photograph on the internet is usually made up of many pixels. Each pixel is a small square that contains a color. The more pixels there are in a picture, the higher the quality of the picture will be. So if you have a lot of tiny pixels, the picture will look very detailed, but if you have fewer pixels, the picture will look more blurry.
