ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Reduced trace

Alright kiddo, so let’s say you draw a picture on a piece of paper with a crayon. The lines you make with the crayon are called traces.

Now, sometimes you might want to make those lines thinner or fainter so that they’re not as bold. When you make those lines thinner or fainter, this is called reducing the trace.

It’s kind of like if you’re playing with a toy car and you turn down the speed so it doesn’t go as fast. Reducing the trace means you’re making the lines slower and not as thick.

Does that make sense, little one?
