ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Regifting

Regifting is when you take a present someone gave you and give it to someone else instead of keeping it. It's like giving a present a second time.

Imagine your friend gave you a toy car for your birthday, but you already have tons of toy cars. Instead of keeping the toy car, you can give it to another friend who might want it more. This is called regifting!

But there are a few things to keep in mind when regifting. First, make sure the person who gave you the gift won't be offended if they find out you regifted it. It's important to be grateful for any present you receive!

Second, make sure the present is in good condition and looks brand new. You don't want to regift something that's broken or looks old and used.

Finally, make sure the person you're giving the present to will like it. Just because you don't want it doesn't mean someone else won't love it!

Regifting can be a way to share things you don't need with others and make them happy with a present. But always remember to be grateful for any gift you receive, and make sure you're not hurting anyone's feelings by regifting.
