Repetitive strain injury (RSI) is a type of pain or injury that you can get from doing the same movement or activity over and over again for too long. This type of injury often happens to people whose job involves doing the same movement over and over again, like typing on a computer, lifting heavy objects, or playing a sport. When the same movement is done repeatedly, it can cause tiny tears in the muscles and tendons around a joint, leading to pain, stiffness, swelling and soreness. To avoid RSI, it's important to take regular breaks, do stretching, and use good posture when you are doing the same activity over and over again.
