Republic

A republic is a type of government where the people have some say in who leads them and makes laws. It is different from other types of government, such as monarchies, because the people have a voice in how their country is run. In a republic, citizens elect representatives to make decisions in the best interests of all people. These representatives can be voted in or out depending on the will of the people.
