Resource (biology)

A resource in biology is something that helps a living thing survive, grow, and reproduce. For example, the sun is a resource for plants because it gives them the energy they need to grow. Other resources like water, soil, and air are also important for living things. Other animals may use each other as resources, by eating each other or by living in the same area and using the same resources.
