A rocket stove is a stove that uses a special design to make it very efficient. It has an insulated chamber where fuel (wood, twigs, leaves, or other combustible materials) is burned. The burning fuel creates hot exhaust gases which are directed up a chimney-like flue to mix with fresh air, causing the air to heat up and creating a hot, clean burning flame. The burning flame is very efficient in producing heat and cooking food because almost all of the fuel is used up in the process.
