Rod group

Okay kiddo, so a rod group is really just a fancy way of saying a bunch of long, skinny things that are all together in a group. Think of a bunch of pencils all lined up next to each other, that's like a rod group.

Now, scientists use the term rod group to talk about a specific type of cells in your eyes. These cells are called rods because they look kind of like the rods in a rod group, long and skinny.

The rods in your eyes help you see things that are dim or not very bright. They work kind of like a light detector, picking up on any little bit of light that comes in.

So, people use the term rod group when they're talking about a bunch of these rod cells all grouped together in your eye. It's an important part of how you see things, especially when it's dark outside.
