ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Roman–Iranian relations

So, a long time ago in history, there were two big groups of people: the Romans and the Iranians. They lived in different parts of the world, but they knew about each other and sometimes they would talk and trade things like wool, spices, and silk.

However, not all of their interactions were peaceful. Sometimes they would fight over land or power, and this caused some tension between them. Both of them also had different beliefs about religion and government, which also led to some conflicts.

Despite all of this, they would sometimes make peace and sign treaties to try to get along better. They would also send ambassadors to each other's countries to try to talk things out and make things better.

Over time, both the Roman and Persian empires grew and changed, and they would continue to have their ups and downs in their relationship. But they both left a big mark on history, and we can still learn a lot from their interactions and the way they tried to work things out.
