Rosco McGlashan

Rosco McGlashan is a man who wants to go very, very fast in a car. He has built a special car called the Aussie Invader 5R. It's a really big car that's over 16 meters long and it has a powerful jet engine that can make it go super fast.

Rosco wants to break the land speed record, which means he wants to go faster than any other car has gone before on land. Right now, the record is held by a car called the ThrustSSC and it went over 760 miles per hour!

Rosco has been working on his car for over 25 years! He has spent lots of time and money building, testing, fixing, and improving it. He wants to make sure everything is perfect because going that fast can be dangerous.

When he's ready, he'll drive his car on a special flat and straight track in the desert where there isn't anyone else around. He'll put on a special suit that will help keep him safe and comfortable inside the car.

Then, he'll start the engine and start driving as fast as he can. His team will use special instruments to measure how fast he's going and to make sure the car is working perfectly.

Rosco is really brave and determined, but even he knows it won't be easy. Breaking the land speed record is very hard, but he's doing his best to make it happen.
