Royal descent

Okay kiddo, so let's talk about royal descent. You know how there are some families who are called "royal" or "nobility"? These are special families who are given a lot of respect and privilege because of their history and tradition.

Now, royal descent means that someone is related to these royal or noble families in some way. This could mean that they have a parent, grandparent, or ancestor who was also part of this special family.

It's kind of like a family tree. You know how you have a mommy and a daddy, and they have parents, and their parents have parents, and so on? Well, if you go back far enough, you might find that your family is related to someone who was really important a long, long time ago.

So, if someone has royal descent, it means they can trace their family tree back to someone who was a part of a royal or noble family. This doesn't necessarily mean that they themselves are royal, but it does mean that they have a special connection to that world through their family history.

Does that make sense?
