Rubber is a material that comes from a tree! When you cut into the bark of the tree, a sap comes out. This sap is called latex, and it is what makes rubber. The latex is collected and mixed with other things like water and acid, and then it's heated up. This process is called vulcanization. After vulcanization, the rubber becomes stronger and more durable. We use rubber to make all sorts of things, like balls, tires, erasers, and even toys!
