Russian oligarch

A Russian oligarch is like a big boss who owns a lot of money and power in Russia. It's like when you have a big toy box with lots of toys, and you are the one who decides who gets to play with the best toys. Oligarchs in Russia are usually really rich people who became rich by doing business with the government or controlling important industries like oil or gas. They have a lot of influence in the country and can even make some of the rules. Some people think they have too much power and control, kind of like if you got to decide who played with all the toys every time you went to a playdate.
