Sapin-sapin

Okay kiddo, sapin-sapin is a super yummy Philippine dessert that is made from rice flour and is often colorful with layers of different colors. It is kind of like a cake, but a little bit more sticky and chewy like a gummy bear.

To make sapin-sapin, you mix together rice flour, water, and sugar to create a batter. Then, you divide the batter into different bowls and add coloring to each one to make it really bright and fun. Next, you pour each color layer into a flat dish, one on top of the other, and steam it until it's cooked.

After it has cooled down, you can cut it into little pieces that are the perfect bite-sized snack for you to enjoy. Each colored layer not only looks cool, but has a slightly different flavor, like ube (purple yam), pandan (green grass), and coconut. It's such a fun dessert to eat with friends and family!
