Security engineering

Security engineering is when people design, build and check systems to protect people from harm. When done properly, it helps people to feel safe. For example, security engineers might design a system like the locks on a house – you need a key to get in and the key makes sure that only those people who are allowed can open the door. Security engineers might also make sure that there are rules in place to make sure that no dangerous or bad things happen. They would also make sure that only certain people can access certain parts of the system.
