Seed ball

A seed ball is like a little ball made up of different things like soil, clay and compost that have a seed inside. When you throw the seed ball into the ground, the soil and other things inside the ball help give the seed a safe place to grow without being washed away or eaten by animals. The seed also has enough water and nutrients inside the ball so that it can start to grow without extra help. It's like putting a seed in a special protective blanket and making sure it has everything it needs to get started growing strong.
