ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Selective color

Selective color is taking a picture and choosing to keep one color while making everything else black and white. You know how when you color a picture, you can choose which colors to use for each part? Well, selective color is kind of like that, but for pictures that are already taken.

Let's say you have a picture of yourself with your favorite toy and you want to make the toy stand out. You can use selective color to make everything in the picture black and white except for the toy. Then, the toy will be very colorful and will be the only thing with color in the picture!

Selective color is like having a magic wand that only colors certain things in a picture. It can make some parts of the picture really pop and stand out. It's fun and easy to use, but be careful not to use it too much or your picture might look a little weird!
