ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Semantic lexicon

A semantic lexicon is like a dictionary that helps people understand words in a more specific way. It's made up of words and their definitions, and it can be used to figure out what words mean and how they are related to each other. For example, if you looked up the word "cat" in a semantic lexicon, it would tell you that it's a type of animal that has four legs, whiskers, and fur, and that it meows. It would also tell you things like how cats relate to other animals, and how people usually feel about cats. That way, whenever you come across a word, you can look it up in the semantic lexicon and get a better understanding of it.
