Sesklo is a very old place that people used to live a long time ago, like when your great-great-great-great-great-grandparents were alive. It's in a country called Greece, which is far away, and it's been around for about 8,000 years!
Sesklo is a special place because it's one of the earliest examples we have of people living together in a village. People used to live in smaller groups or families, but in Sesklo, they all lived together in one big village. This made it easier for them to work together and share things like food and tools.
The village in Sesklo was built out of mud bricks and had lots of little houses close together. Inside the houses, people would have a fire to keep warm and cook their food. They would also make things like pottery and clothes by hand.
People in Sesklo ate a lot of different things, but mainly they ate things like wheat and barley, which they grew themselves. They would also have meat and dairy products from animals like sheep and goats that they raised.
Over time, the people in Sesklo started to become really good at farming and building things. They began to create more complex things like pottery with special designs and larger buildings made out of stone. This is really impressive considering they didn't have any machines or technology like we do now!
Today, Sesklo is an archaeological site which means that scientists and historians go there to learn more about how people lived a really long time ago. It's really cool to think about how different life was back then and how much we've learned from places like Sesklo.
