Shanty town

A shanty town is a type of housing that is very poor quality and usually doesn't have running water or electricity. People who live in shanty towns don’t have very much money so they can’t afford nicer housing. They often make their homes out of scrap materials like cardboard and old wood. People who live in shanty towns usually live very close together and they often don’t have enough space to store all their belongings. They also often don’t have private bathrooms or kitchens so they have to use bathrooms and kitchens that are shared by their neighbors.
