Shikigami

Shikigami is an idea in Japanese culture that comes from traditional beliefs about spiritual energy and magical creatures called yokai.

Imagine you are playing a game of make-believe with your friends, and you each pretend to have special powers like wizards or superheroes. In Japanese folklore, people believed that some special people, like priests or sorcerers, could call on the power of spiritual energy to create creatures called shikigami.

In order to create a shikigami, the person would need to use special prayers, chants, and ceremonies to call upon the spiritual energy and give it a form. This form could be anything from a bird or an animal to a humanoid figure or even a strange and unusual creature. The person who created the shikigami could then command it to do tasks or act as a protector against evil spirits or other dangers.

Some people believed that shikigami could even take on physical form and be used in battle, but this is mostly just a legend. Regardless, the idea of shikigami is still a fun and exciting part of Japanese culture today, often appearing in manga and anime as magical creatures or protectors of humans.
