Shturmovshchina

Shturmovshchina is a Russian word which means 'assaulting'. It was used during the Russian Revolution of 1917 to refer to the organized attack of workers and soldiers on the government forces. The shturmovshchina was an important part of the revolution, as the workers and soldiers attacked and took over key government buildings and eventually overthrew the old government.
