Shu (kingdom)

Shu is a name given to a place where people used to live a very long time ago in a country called China. You know how you have a house or a apartment where you live with your family? Shu was a place where a lot of families lived together. Like in your apartment building, there were many houses in Shu, and they were all ruled by one person who was called a king. The king of Shu was very important because he made the rules for all the people who lived there. People in Shu worked together to grow food and have things they needed to live, like clothes and tools. Sometimes, the king of Shu and the kings of other places had fights and wars over who was in charge. But even though there were fights, people in Shu worked hard to survive and make a good life for themselves. That's what Shu is all about – a place where people lived together hundreds and hundreds of years ago that had a king who helped them make rules and decisions.
