Siren suit

A siren suit is a special kind of one-piece jumpsuit that was first made popular in England during World War II. It was designed to be worn by people who needed to quickly get dressed in case an air raid siren went off.

The suit was named after the sirens that would sound warning people of an upcoming air raid. The idea was that people could keep the suit close by so that they could quickly and easily get dressed and head to a bomb shelter or underground bunker.

The suit was made to be very comfortable and warm, with a lot of pockets to store important items like a flashlight or a ration book. It was also designed to be easy to move in, so that people could continue to do their work even while wearing it.

These days, siren suits are still sometimes worn as a kind of novelty item or as part of a costume. They are often seen at events like music festivals, where people want to show off their unique style and wear something attention-grabbing.
