ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sit-in

A sit-in is when people gather together in a public place to peacefully protest something they care about. A group of people will organize a sit-in where they will sit in one place for an extended period of time, usually in a busy area with lots of people around. They will stay in one place and refuse to move until their demands have been met. This is used to draw attention to the problem and to get people to talk about it. Sometimes it's used to pressure a government or business to change a law or policy.
