Social construction of reality

Okay kiddo, so there's a thing called the social construction of reality. It's like when you and your friends make up a game with your own rules and pretend like it's real.

In the same way, humans create our own understanding of what's real and what's not based on our shared experiences and beliefs. We do this by communicating with each other and agreeing on certain things, like what colors mean or what words we use to describe emotions.

For example, we all agree that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, even though we know the Earth is really spinning. And we all agree that money has value, even though it's really just paper or numbers on a computer screen.

This shared understanding of reality is what helps us interact with each other and navigate the world around us. It's like a big game that we're all playing together, where we make up the rules and decide what's important.

So, even though some things might seem objectively real, the way we understand and interpret them is shaped by our social environment and the cultures we live in. And that's the social construction of reality!
