Social credit is a system that helps the government decide who should get what kind of help. It keeps track of each person’s good or bad behaviors and rank them based on that. People can get points for doing things like volunteering in their community, helping out their neighbors, or going to school. They can also lose points for breaking laws or doing things the government doesn’t like. The highest-ranked people may get special privileges like lower taxes or better job opportunities. People who don’t have a good social score might not be able to do certain things like take out loans or get good jobs.
