Social hygiene movement

Alright kiddo, so a long time ago, people didn't really understand how germs worked and that they could make you really sick. But then, some people started to learn more about this and they started a movement called the social hygiene movement.

This movement was all about taking care of yourself and your community by practicing good hygiene, like washing your hands and keeping your surroundings clean. They also talked a lot about not doing things that could spread diseases, like sharing dirty needles or having unprotected sex.

The social hygiene movement was really important because it helped people to understand how germs spread and how to prevent them. It also led to the creation of things like public health campaigns and laws that required things like clean water and sanitation.

So, basically, the social hygiene movement was a group of people who wanted to teach others how to take care of themselves and their communities so that everyone could be healthy and happy!
