ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Socialist mode of production

Socialism is a type of economy where everyone shares what they produce with everyone else. Everyone might do different jobs, like farming, building, or teaching. Those who do the work get paid, but the money they get is the same no matter how difficult or how important their job is. Everyone is equal and everyone gets to have a say in how things are run, like deciding what kind of food is grown on the farm or how much time children get to go to school. Everyone takes care of each other and tries to make sure that everyone has what they need to be happy and healthy.
