Sodium sesquicarbonate

Okay kiddo, so have you ever seen that white powder that adults put into water to make it all bubbly and fizzy? That's called baking soda!

Well, sodium sesquicarbonate is kind of like baking soda's bigger, fancier cousin. It's made up of three different things: sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, and water.

Let's start with sodium carbonate. You know how you sometimes see white powdery stuff on the bottom of your baking sheet after you make cookies? That's baking soda's other name, sodium carbonate.

Now for sodium bicarbonate. This is just another fancy name for the baking soda we talked about earlier.

And finally, water. You know what that is, right? Good!

So when you mix all three of these things together, you get sodium sesquicarbonate! It's often used in cleaning products because it can help remove tough stains and make things nice and clean.

Hope that helps, kiddo!
