Okay kiddo, do you know when you hear sounds like a baby crying or a bird chirping? That's all because of something called sound.

Now, sound design is like magic for those sounds you hear in movies, TV shows, and even some video games. It's the process of creating all those cool and interesting noises you hear in a movie or a TV show.

It's like painting a picture, but instead of using paint and a brush, you use sounds and special tools to make it sound a certain way.

For example, if you're watching a movie about a scary monster, you might hear a really deep growling noise or a creepy melody in the background. All those scary sounds are created by sound designers!

They use all kinds of tools, like computers and fancy machines, to make sounds really cool and unique. Sometimes they even record sounds from real life and change them to make them sound different or use sounds from libraries full of recordings.

So sound design is just like creating a special recipe with all kinds of ingredients (or sounds). It takes a lot of work and creativity, but it can make a movie or TV show really exciting and fun to watch!
