Spamtrap

Okay kiddo, have you ever heard of junk mail, those annoying letters or emails you get that you don't want or need? Well, sometimes people send out a lot of those, but they send them to pretend email addresses that no one uses, these pretend email addresses are called spamtraps.

A spamtrap is like putting a fake mail address on your mailbox or a fake phone number when someone asks you for it. It catches people who are sending junk mail or spam to the wrong places.

When spammers send emails to these fake email addresses or spamtraps, it lets anti-spam companies know that someone is trying to send junk mail. These companies can then block or prevent those messages from reaching real people who might accidentally click on them or be fooled by them.

So, a spamtrap is like a secret trick that people use to catch those naughty spammers who try to send too many unwanted messages. Just like a super sneaky detective, the spamtrap helps catch the bad guys and keeps your mailbox clean and tidy!
