Spatial reference system

A spatial reference system is a way of dividing up the world into different pieces so that we can talk about specific places in the world. It helps us identify exact locations by using a special set of numbers called coordinates. For example, if we want to tell someone where a particular park is located, we can tell them the coordinates of that park and they can find it easily.
